I enjoy leading and motivating a team to deliver the best a golf facilty can offer, I am results orientated, decisive and enjoy planning and implementing change for the good of golf and the facility. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Working with management to develop all aspects of the golf business.
  • To provide a clear vision as to the direction of the golf business and how we achieve that.
  • Develop marketing opportunities whilst liaising with other senior managers and to review those strategies and how effective they were.
  • Deliver consistent levels of excellent customer service.
  • Ensure revenues and profitability are maximised from all golf business.
  • Develop a first class golf academy.
  • Provide a golf retail operation that delivers on all levels of customer service to the highest level.
  • Liaise with green staff regarding course preparation and improvements.
  • To co-ordinate plans with F&B for food and beverage needs of all golf functions

Achievements

During my time at Warley Park I continually delivered the highest levels of customer service and I have proud record of Membership retention as well as forging many relationships with society organisers and seeing a high level of repeat business.

The refurbished shop has over doubled in revenue during my time at the club, setting up a state of the art custom fit studio to provide members and visitors with the very best in service when it comes to retail and fitting.

The relationships I have forged with many staff during my time especially that of my Head Green-keeper and the work we have delivered together.

The achievement I am most proud of is the development of our golf academy with between 70-90 lessons performed each week and the junior programme which currently has more under 14 golfers representing Essex than any other golf club in the county.

Interests & Family

I have two main interests in my life outside of work and family, Cooking and Tottenham Hotspur football club. My cooking is more successful than my football team unfortunately but I live in hope. I still very much enjoy playing golf at a high standard.

I have a great family, happily married for 20 years with two wonderful children aged 12 & 17.
